Who should apply? +

I am currently accepting applications for any piano/composition/theory student who shows great musical promise. All ages welcome.

When are the deadlines? +

New applications are due no later than two weeks before the start of your first term:

Fall (September–December) — Deadline: August 15th
Spring (January–April) — Deadline: December 15th
Summer (May–August) — Deadline: April 15th

What is your availability? +

Early afternoons are preferred, Monday through Sunday. Morning times may be available depending on your needs.

Where do we meet? +

I prefer to travel to the student's house assuming they have access to a piano. Meetings at my home can be arranged. Remote composition and theory lessons are also available.

What is the cost? +

Prices are set yearly and include travel expenses and teacher-provided materials at no additional cost (e.g. scores, recordings, manuscript paper, etc). Current rates cover 14 meetings per term:

30 minute lessons $520/term ($130/mo)
45 minute lessons $780/term ($195/mo)
60 minute lessons $1040/term ($260/mo)

Lesson fees are paid monthly before the first lesson. Two makeup lessons are permitted regardless of reason per term. Makeups are scheduled the two weeks following the end of the term.

Particularly gifted students from low-income families may qualify for a complete tuition waver.
